Moving Forward: A Blueprint For An Abundance Economy
The third film in Peter Joseph’s documentary trilogy “Zeitgeist III: Moving Forward” is now available to be viewed online for free. Where the previous installations have focused on the past and the present, “Moving Forward,” looks ahead with suggestions on how to transition from our current global economy based on an idea of scarcity, to one based on abundance. Many documentaries focus on the doom and the gloom of some arm or side effect of our current capitalist machine, but few focus on or even give any solutions. “Zeitgeist III” is an inspiring vision for a realistic future where the quality of life is raised for everyone on the planet.
It has been apparent that our current oil based economy, and our infinite growth economy have been conflicting for many decades. Petroleum and petroleum products contributes to around 99% of everything in our lives, yet it is a finite resource. We continue to move forward unabated. The oil industry and related industries have slowed the emergence of cleaner technologies that could have long replaced our need to import foreign oil or use oil all together, the former of which has been a so called “goal” for every U.S. administration for the past 50 years.
The end of the oil based economy is in sight. The winds of change are stirring across the earth and a new earth is emerging. It is up to the inhabitants of this earth to decide what it will look like.
