At the Awake & Aware – Return to Camelot conference in L.A. that was held in September, many significant speakers gave talks, most notably, David Wilcock.  David Wilcock is a professional lecturer*, filmmaker and researcher of ancient civilizations, consciousness science, and new paradigms of matter and energy.  David’s nearly two-hour presentation was firmly rooted in science, not in prophesy, as many 2012 talks tend to be. Mayan Calendar 2011 vs 2012: How Does It Affect Me?

 

2011_or_2012There is a question among the 2012 speculators as to whether the Mayan Long Count calendar ends on December 21st, 2012, or on October 28th, 2011.  Carl Johan Calleman, author of books such as “Solving the Greatest Mystery of Our Time: The Mayan Calendar” and a paper titled “The risks of believing that the Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012!” which can be downloaded here, states that “two intellectual cultures have emerged around the two possible end dates, one based on belief, December 21st, 2012, and one based on evidence, October 28th, 2011.” Read the rest of this entry »

Life and Death, Two Parts of the Same Thing

 

Louis_SilversteinWhy is death so scary for most people in our culture?

According to Louis Silverstein, Ph.D. and Professor at Columbia College, there are several reasons.  It is partly due to a lack of exposure to natural death, the negative and violent impressions made by mass media, as well as a fear of getting older.

The World is Not Going to End in 2012
